Our purpose is to offer a viable path toward success for young Nigerians who are hindered by poverty and a lack of opportunity. By connecting our friends to resources for skills training, entrepreneurship, and spiritual development, we help these young adults reclaim hope, embrace honest work, achieve financial stability, and become agents of change in their communities. Rooted in faith and accountability, our organization partners with upstanding local Nigerian mentors to guide participants toward lasting personal, economic, and spiritual transformation—ultimately reducing poverty, igniting change from within, and fostering stability in families and communities.
Microloans for Entrepreneurship
The extremely high unemployment rate in Nigeria is due to a lack of jobs. Our friends know that the best chance they have at being able to provide for themselves is through entrepreneurship. Most of our friends already have their own ideas for a business, they just need a capital to cover start-up expenses. We offer micro-loans to help them start a business that can sustain them and their families for many years.
Mentorship by local peers
We partner each participant with an upstanding local as their mentor. Because our mentors are performing an important work, they are compensated for their time, providing even more jobs in the community. Our intent is to recruit many of our mentors from participants who have successfully started their own business with Dreambridge Africa.
Providing food and shelter
While each of our participants works toward their goals of self-reliance, many of them need support with basic necessities: food, shelter, medicine, etc. We provide these essentials so our friends can devote their full time and attention to building their new businesses. This allows them to become self-sufficient sooner.
