Nurturing Self Reliance

Many young adults in Africa—including recent college graduates—are desperately struggling to provide for themselves due to a lack of jobs, high levels of corruption, and a lack of resources. In addition to the weak job market, after graduation many continue to struggle with basic necessities—including housing and food. The future for uneducated Africans is even more bleak.

Our purpose is to offer a viable path toward success for young Africans who are hindered by an unstable economy and a lack of opportunity. We provide a multi-faceted approach to help individuals overcome poverty, combat corruption, and become positive agents of change in their communities.

Dreambridge Africa works to combat these obstacles at the source by:

  • connecting each recipient with an upstanding local mentor

  • instilling strong morals and ethical responsibility

  • providing resources for education and training

  • offering microloans for entrepreneurship

The great news is that these young adults are hungry for work! They have their own creative ideas for businesses. They have dreams and goals, and they still have hope that they can achieve them. Our greatest goal is to see young Africans overcome a myriad of obstacles so they can achieve their dreams of self-sufficiency. We aim to provide the means for them to build the lives they have imagined for themselves. We want them to experience the dignity that comes from a life of self-reliance and integrity. We believe that a guided path toward entrepreneurship—their very own business— is their best chance of achieving this.
